Red Squirrel - Resourcefulness, Vigilance, Preparation, Busy-ness

With discipline and focus I build my plan...
honouring the integrity of my vision.

trusting the flow of Great Spirit within.

The message the Squirrel wants us to know is to take pause and sort out out list of 'duties' and ask ourselves what really needs to be done to make the most impact and leave ourselves feeling fulfilled (not scattered & fatigued) at the end of the day. Rather spend 100% attention on a few tasks than to spread yourself thin with multiple tasks.

Squirrels also teaches us that even the best plans change and unfold in ways that we can never imagine. Sometimes we stored yesterday may not be in the same spot today, but in our search we may discover an even better stash! So be prepared, but don't be too hung up on your planning that you become rigid and unable to respond to unforeseen shifts in reality. Don't Judge too quickly or scatter your energy in chatter or critical analysis. Calmly assess the situation and open ourselves to perceive and receive the unexpected gifts that are certain to emerge with unforeseen changes!

Feeling short changed? Someone stealing your thunder?

Have you ever gave it a real thought of why was it possible for you to feel the way you are today? Did that other person stooped really low to treat you this way or was it that you (intentionally/unintentionally) allowed him/her to? Maybe you have been distracted by another task on hand? Maybe they had picked up some body language from you that subtly says "it's ok, do what you please"..

Look deeper into any situation, especially at a moment of loss (physical/spiritual/emotional/tangible/intangible). Only when one feels the pain, will they get a deeper understanding of what is happening, what actually (really) just happened to them. Only when you fall, will you find the reason why - a root growing out of place? a hole in the ground? etc.

Yes, all failures will leave a mark in your track record, but wounds do heal, and they become battle scars. You learn from these scars, they are nothing, but a reminder of what needs to be done in certain similar situations. Setbacks can be defeated through sheer determination and willpower.

Even at times of stress or faced with strong opposition, always have a peace of mind, that your inner strength is firm enough to guide you towards your goals. Be patient while defending your beliefs, and proceed carefully towards victory.
