Red Phoenix King (Heaven 乾 qian2)

Be the trustworthy and intuitive Self. Listening is key. Be ready to act accordingly (and appropriately). Focus on the situation on hand.

iChing: In our earlier times, we look up to the Heavens to measure time, predict/forecast weather/seasons or other origins other than ourselves. Heaven is the Time and the Conditions that affect us. Many refer this as 'Heaven's will' or 'fate'. Instead of believing in the strange forces, we should understand Heaven as simple context. When faced with the panoply of change heaven provides us, we should act according to the circumstances, but our actions should come from our hearts, as no intellect system alone can guide us.

In that sense, we must become the heaven that sets situations in motion. Be the driver who acts, who leads, who works. We must act, and benefit all that we touch as surely as the sky sends sun and rain. Heaven creates time and circumstances. We must accept that, at the same time, we must find heaven in ourselves. We create with what heaven has given us, and in doing so, we become heaven itself.

iChing: 坎 (kan3) represents water and danger. Keep your eye peeled for any form of danger. Take precaution in what you do. Do take a step back and the situation, and analyze how best you can handle this, or if there are better alternatives to what you are doing.

Work with it to your benefit. The Trigram also represents Wood, where weaves into the earth, growing gradually, introducing change the environment slowly. The Wind also represents two types of growth - the gentle and permeating, whereas Thunder is sudden and explosive change.

Enjoy the fruits you bear for all the efforts you've put in. Take time to rejuvenate and refresh your energy. Results are not what you've expected, but much more. That said, beware of falling into the trap of arrogance.

iChing: Keep your eyes and ears pealed for sudden and unexpected changes that may affect your daily routine. Take a pause, examine your options, and move on. Yes you'll be shocked by the sudden happening, but it wouldn't help if you just stay motionless, or simply just move on without analysing the situation.

A warm and practical outlook will help eliminate unanswered questions. Take a peaceful approach to solving problems. Be open to sharing and negotiations. Peaceful Self attracts other attractive, peaceful personalities.

iChing: Bring out the accepting, supportive, receptive and modest nature. Earth exemplifies patience. All other elements end/dies down but Earth is always present (Water dries up, Fire extinguishes, Wind dies, Thunder ceases, Lakes evaporate, Mountain crumbles). There is much to learn from Earth - patience and nurturing, supportive, and modesty. Learn to wait, patience will only bring you great rewards. Trees take years to mature, give shade and bear fruits, and contribute to the eco system of nature/life. Earth teaches us to think of future matters instead of short term goals/solutions.

iChing: Thunder calls us to reverence. Look deeper as thunder is a metaphor for further subtle ideas. Thunder is an indication for change that's coming your way (again). Thunder is a wake up call to us all, not only to adjust our views, but somewhat like a wake up call for change to happen.

iChing: Fire represents the beginning of a new change. After a blaze, the ground settles and is fertile again for new birth. Though fire can be dangerous, it is also a source of energy. You have to find a way to work with Fire. It cannot be tamed, but it can be channeled. When the energy is directed/channeled to the right direction, for the right purpose, it is a useful force that you can benefit much from. Spiritually, Fire symbolizes the heart, and the creative and intuitive powers that emanate from it. A simple flame can light the darkest area. You can be that flame too.

I-Ching: Thunder represents change that begins from sudden initiative. It is what awes us and calls us to reverence, and is also a metaphor for further subtle ideas. All event are both cyclical repetition and unique occurrences, it teaches us to search for new beginnings within myriad cycles. We have to adjust our views so that even the slightest movements can be noticed with the same attention that a storm demands.

I-Ching: Gentle influence, pervasive movement, and growing trees. The warm winds signal the fullness of spring. Bees, Pollen, insects are borne on the wind, trees are in full bloom. You will not be able to change or stop the energy from taking effect, but instead, adapt and engage it. Make use of what's coming to your benefit, and go with the flow. There is growth opportunities, thought gentler and permeating.

Artemis - Individuation

Artemis is a Goddess of animals and of the forest, she receives the finest hounds from the god Pan, and these dogs are chosen for their unmatched abilities  to bring down lions, catch the swiftest hares and mark the 'lair of the Stag'. As a Moon Goddess who inspires women, in particular, to live an authentic life, she encourages us to live the life we truly desire even if that is somewhat different to others'.

Bring out the true Self and not hide within the shadow of others (or the general norm). It's not to lead a life of duality, but to ensure that either side is not neglected. Be the giver of life, protector and merciful Self, but yet not neglect the stern (death giver), huntress and merciless other. There is a time to show your different faces and attributes.

This week, take no effort to hide yourSelf because it takes more effort to hide the truth than to just live your life as you are. As we all know, why spend time thinking of a lie to cover another lie, and then the bandwidth to remember that lie and the lies before.

Valkyries - Redemption

"It is never too late to change. Regret is useless. Forgiveness may be neccessary. Bravery in life is valuable."

Valkyries were the 'Choosers of the Slain' and were present at every battle of the Norse. Their primary service was to select the most worthy and bravest of the dead warriors - The Einherjar - and take them to Valhalla to the God Odin or to reside with the Goddess Freya in her hall, the Folkvanger ('battlefield'). There, the Valkyries would joyfully serve the Einherjar mead until their final battle, Ragnarok, alongside the Gods.

When you hit the dead end, take a deep breath and consider your options. It's either you admit defeat or to brave on into the battle. Once you have made the decision, stick to it and take on the consequences that comes with it. Good or bad, we need to give praise for a great job done, or to seek forgiveness for an error. Only when you are open to acknowledge the deeds, will you be rewarded for your actions.
